The amphitheatre has been designed to host programming of various scales, from small community events to large scale concerts of up to 12,000 people.

Access to the amphitheatre is available from both the north and south of the Park. There are various areas in the amphitheatre for seating or standing, these include:

• Amphitheatre dance floor or mosh pit.
• A flexible grassed terraced area that can accommodate portable seating.
• Accessible seating at ground level and at the top of the amphitheatre hill, which is accessible by lift.
• Sloped landscape viewing.

Acoustic performance and sound quality have been a key priority for the design including a high-tech sound shell canopy structure. The amphitheatre and stage are oriented and shaped to minimise the impact of amplified music on neighbouring properties.

The stage is 28m x 15m with appropriate facilities for a range of performance types. The back of house includes green rooms, VIP rooms, a loading dock and amenities for artists.

Nearby lawn areas create the opportunity for multi-stage festival events, utilising the amphitheatre and the broader Perth Park.
