One step closer to Perth Park
Construction is progressing across Perth Park, with several major milestones reached and crews moving into the next stages of work.

Amphitheatre and building works
Ground improvement works for the amphitheatre have reached an important milestone, with crews now focused on building up the mound for the future 12,000-person outdoor amphitheatre.
Piling for the amphitheatre and multi-use building is also complete, paving the way for the next stage of construction. Concrete pours for the multi-use building have commenced, along with excavation for lifts, stairs and underground services.
Across the site, earthworks are continuing to prepare for new roads and the future track. Residents and park visitors may notice mild vibrations at times as crews compact and prepare the ground.

Changes to local roads
Temporary lane closures will occur at times on Roger Mackay Drive and Camfield Drive as construction continues.
Camfield Drive will be closed from 16 November to 8 December 2026 to enable road realignment works. Access to local businesses, bus port parking and Stadium Park will be maintained via a signed detour along Roger Mackay Drive.
Completing these works now will help reduce the need for a greater number of intermittent construction-related closures during 2027.
More information about the closure, including access and detour arrangements, will be shared with the community before the closure is implemented.
Creating a park for the community
A key part of Perth Park is creating an inviting parkland that can be enjoyed by the community year-round. The completed precinct will include new walking and cycling paths, recreational facilities, shaded gathering areas, a children's playground and more than 600 new trees.
The approach to public art across the park has now been finalised, with art set to feature in a variety of ways throughout the precinct.
Alongside feature sculptures, public art will be integrated into everyday elements of the park, including bike racks and seating, lighting and surface finishes, helping create a distinctive and engaging place for visitors.
Supporting local industry
Perth Park is supporting WA businesses, with local contractors and suppliers playing an important role in delivering the project.
Wagstaff Piling WA has manufactured precast concrete piles, while Civmec is manufacturing structural steel. InfraBuild will supply steel reinforcement and Atlas Precast will provide precast floor slabs as construction progresses.

Sharing engineering knowledge
Perth Park is also providing an opportunity to share knowledge with WA's engineering community.
Ground improvement contractor Menard recently welcomed civil, structural and geotechnical engineers to the site to see the project's ground improvement works firsthand and learn more about the techniques being used.
It is another way the project is helping build local knowledge and industry capability as construction progresses.
