The criterium circuit is a defining feature of the Park, providing a high-quality cycling facility for elite racing, regular weekday training, and everyday recreational use.

It includes two circuits:

  • An event track (approximately 1.25 km) that uses the inner circuit of the multi-use track, and
  • A training track (approximately 845 m) within the internal loop partly running alongside Roger Mackay Drive.

The training track will be separated from vehicle movements using protective elements to support safe and consistent access. The track will also be lit to AusCycling standards to support morning and evening training. See the Access and Amenity page for more details about Park lighting.

Pedestrian and cyclist safety has been a key focus, particularly at crossing points. The number of crossings has been minimised to reduce potential conflicts, and crossings are designed to be clear and easy to navigate. The closed crossings prevent vehicles accessing the track and the gated crossings can be closed for events.

Bike racks are also conveniently located throughout the precinct. The map below provides an overview of cycling tracks, shared paths, bike rack locations, and crossing points.
