Pedestrian movement

The Park is designed to support easy, safe, and intuitive pedestrian movement, connecting users to key amenities, spaces, and surrounding places of interest. The existing shared path network connects to the paths within the Park, enhancing connectivity and supporting both pedestrian and cyclist movement throughout the Burswood Peninsula precinct.

The Park will feature a series of pathways:

  • Walking trails provide informal walking routes through landscaped areas.
  • Minor paths support local access between nearby spaces.
  • Shared paths accommodate both pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Major paths link destinations across the precinct.
  • A main boulevard forms the key pedestrian spine through the Park.

A wayfinding and signage strategy is in development to support navigation, ensuring users can move easily throughout the Park and the wider precinct.

Vehicle access and parking

The primary access routes into the precinct will continue to be Camfield Drive, Victoria Park Drive and Roger Mackay Drive. Transport and traffic management for major stadium events will continue to be managed in a similar way that it is today and similar strategies will be used to manage large events at the Park.

The posted speed limit on Roger Mackay Drive will remain at 40 km/h. Closed and gated crossings will prohibit vehicle and pedestrian access on to the inner track in the Park.

New visitor parking will be available next to the multi-use building. Existing roadside parking along Camfield Drive will be realigned but remain available as it is today. The grass parking area near Marlee Loop will be realigned but remain accredited parking for stadium events as it is today.

ACROD bays for stadium events will be upgraded and provided for along the inner track on the Park on major event days.
